The new Infrared Thermometers optris CSm hs - for the measurement of smallest temperature differences of 0,025°C

The Optris GmbH is expanding the product range of infrared thermometers, the new optris CSm hs.

The optris CSm hs sets a new benchmark in low noise IR-thermometry. It is suitable for relative measurement of smallest temperature differences of 0,025°C. It is using a new type of infrared detector with an extra high sensitivity. The thermal and electronic design of the optris CSm hs is ensuring a very low ambient drift. It contains no moving parts like chopper wheels or similar.

Typical applications of such type of IR sensor can be found in semiconductor processing and high quality glass production. In the processing of modern products like solar panels or TV flat screen displays and monitors a high homogeneity of special coatings on glass and other substrate is essential needed. If these homogeneity is not guaranteed, take for instance the final customer of a flat TV, the customer will see these inhomogeneity as bad and wrong colours . The process of coating is extremely sensitive to temperature. The optris CSm hs has stainless steel housing and very compact dimensions. It fits in narrow spaces in all industrial environments. A standard analog output of 4-20mA and an integrated digital interface allows the implementation in common process control devices.

The CompactConnect Software is used for easy sensor setup and remote controlling of the Optris CSm hs, it supports multi tasking. It has a Graphic display for temperature trends and an automatic data logging for analysis and documentation. The customer can do adjustments of signal processing functions and can program the outputs and functional inputs of the sensor. It allows automatic emissivity adjustment.
