With the infrared portable thermometer LaserSight Optris sets a
new performance standard on the infrared market. The thermometers allow
reliable noncontact temperature measurements of objects as small as 1 mm
within the temperature range of -35° up to +900°C.
Additionally, a new worldwide patented laser sighting marks the exact spot size.
The LaserSight infrared portable thermometers provide a real alternative to
thermal cameras because of their notably lower price. They will be used in
preventive maintenance, quality management, research & development and electronic
design.
Not only the outer appearance but also the outstanding technical parameters
speak for themselves: The new laser crosshairs sighting system combined with an
optical resolution of 75:1 support precise temperature measurements at any distance.
Thus the laser crosshairs exactly mark a measuring spot in its real size of 16 mm
at a distance of 1,2 m.
A switch helps to shift into a close focus mode: Two single laser beams cross
each other at the smallest measuring spot. This technology enables users to
accurately aim at measuring objects the size of 1 mm in order to take their
temperatures. For the first time in the infrared thermometry market, with this
product generation the outstanding optical performance becomes apparent and visible.
An integrated position sensor shifts the LCD display into the most convenient viewing
position. Thus the LaserSight can be used in vertical or horizontal measuring mode,
which makes the usage in manifold applications comfortable.
A USB interface and a graphic and report software with oscilloscope function help
to process and record up to 20 measuring data per second. Furthermore, the scope of
supply includes a tripod mounting, a thermocouple type K, a padded soft pouch and a
carrying case.
The technology company Optris GmbH specializes in the development, production and
sales of noncontact infrared thermometers. The product range comprises online sensors
as well as portable infrared cameras and pyrometers which are predominantly used for
maintenance and process control.
