The optris CT series experiences a new extension:
The infrared miniaturized temperature sensors are now able to determine the temperature of
moving objects in the shortest possible time: 4 Milliseconds.

The mere appearance of moving objects in the measuring field of the sensor for only 4 Milliseconds is sufficient for the optris CTfast to be able to detect temperatures ranging from
-40 up to 600°C. Thus, hot wheel bearings of moving trains as well as wheels of moving vehicles
can be temperature controlled at high speed safely and accurately. Measuring objects in free fall
can be temperature monitored regarding overheating and strong temperature differences. This
technology progress presents new possibilities to support safety at work and in everyday life:
Temperature control of bulk goods on coal dumps, where glowing remains may cause a fire as
well as the monitoring of conveyer bands with small components of only 2 mm in size become
increasingly effective.

The Optris GmbH is located in Berlin and belongs to the MICRO-EPSILON group. This new
development once more presents a high-quality design in noncontact infrared thermometers.
Most of their products are based on the chip-design of the Micro-Hybrid GmbH, which also
belongs to the MICRO-EPSILON group. The innovative product design of these new infrared sensors
adds further to the product range of online sensors for the automation industry.
Moreover, Optris offers portable infrared pyrometers such as thermal cameras, portable
thermometers and infrared calibration sources.
