The technology company Optris GmbH specializes
in the development, production and sales of non-contact infrared
thermometers. The product range comprises online sensors as well as
portable infrared cameras and pyrometers, which are predominantly
used for maintenance and process control.
The concentration on the product segment of infrared sensors requires
a strong international alignment of the company. For this reason and
due to the enormous economic and technological importance of the
Chinese market Optris started a joint venture in the People's Republic of China.
The Shenzhen Optris electronic technology company is the centre of
competence for non-contact temperature measurement. The Chinese
company develops, produces and markets portable and stationary infrared
sensors. Managing director is Mr. David Pan, a recognized and successful
specialist in the market of infrared thermometers with the background
of many years of experience. His team of development engineers and product
managers combines technological expertise with application-specific
competence. Engineers in China closely cooperate with the German engineering
team in order to use capabilities and potentials of each of the company
locations. An important result of the cooperation is the optris® MiniSightPlus -
a product made in China. The MiniSightPlus is a compact handheld infrared
thermometer with - in its product class - superior optical performance.
In both manufacturing locations, special attention is paid to assuring
an optimal after sales service for all Optris products.
In addition to portable pyrometers, Optris produces infrared sensors,
like the optris® CT, for automation solutions. The optris® CT is a compact
infrared sensor with an extremely broad object and ambient temperature range.
To complement the product line the company works together with several
business partners in various regions. On the German market Optris
cooperates with FLIR Systems in the field of infrared cameras for
maintenance applications. In China Optris markets the products of the
German infrared technology company Sensortherm due to the manifold
applications especially in the local metal-processing industry.
